Those Seagate RLL drives were horrifcally noisy and weighed a ton. I had one as the first HD I used with an ST and wound up both trying to replace the fan with a more modern one and fitting muffler foam around the drive itself. It sounded like some kind of mad scientists lab kit from a 50's sci-fi movie.
