I really recommend you to use external hardware, cause the ADC/DAC in the Falcon are big shit!.
You can also buy SPDIF interfaces to connect other digital sound devices like a DAT, MD or something (and on this way you can use the ADC/DAC of your external device). With such expansion hardware the common sampling rates of 44,1 and 48 kHz were supported too.
