I've had an FX-Falcon, and it worked nice in 36/18 mode, not 40/20. However a friend of mine have it working at 40/20 as well.

I sold the machine a year ago, and the new owner is still using it.

The overclock is as follows in best case:

030 from 16 to 40 MHz
FPU from 16 to 40 MHz
Videl from 32 to 40 MHz
ST-RAM/BUS from 16 to 20 MHz
DSP from 32 to 50 MHz

As can be seen the various parts are accelerated differently much from it's original speed, which makes it hard to determine the exact speedup, it depends on the application.

The FX also comes with so called "FastRam", however don't get fooled about it. Although it's faster than the ST RAM, it is lightyears from AB040/CT2 fastram. It's still 16bit, and located on the 24bit addressbus, limiting ST-Fastram to a total of 14mb.

If you're in crisis for an acclboard, get this one, it helps you to get many programs to run approx twice as quick. Otherwise stick with the original machine a while longer and upgrade it with Tempest or CT60.

Regarding Videlity, it's freeware and can be downloaded from Daves site: http://www.conceptcoding.com/
