It's easier to maintain one look for a whole website. The idea is to seperate the look from the content. As long as you don't use CSS layers the page will display ok in older browsers.
There is even an advantage for Atari browsers: the web page loads faster.
I'm also maintaining severall Atari related web sites and there are only about 2-5% who browse the pages with an Atari browser.
