PC A Dinosour? Ok, I agree with that, it most certainly is that... However, there is no way that it will die for a hell of a long time... The Atari will be a memory before the PC goes that way.

There is simply too many users out there!

The PC is constantly changing, its nothing like what it was, and in a few years it will be nothing like it is now, but thats how it is! - its evolving, while the Atari...

The Atari is evolving sure, at a fair pace too ( albeit slowly right now ) and again, when you look at what even an ST can do with just software alone ( Magic & NVDI and the system feels like its many times faster, add a mono screen and it starts to feel really powerful ) but still, its nothing.

Light mammals I can live with, and lets be honest, Linux is not a truly alternative OS to windows quite simply because Windows does everythign that linux does, and I seriously cannot think of anything that Linux does better, even networking is debateable these days, so linux as a light animal is alomst a myth.

Mac I like, but again, the price. Its just not on!

Amigas are also great, they have come on so much, its not fair to Atari, and Amiga have developed way ahead of Atari in every field.

While its all very well for Lighter systems, its also becoming more and more useless as well... PC parts are so cheap these days, and they are getting cheaper, and easier and more powerful, its the only real option for the masses, and while things are the way they are, the masses have it.

Ok, my PCI?

Well, fairly enough 1000Mbit Ethernet is all very well on Mac or PC, ( There is faster by the way - 2 of my PCs have 64Bit PCI Slots and I could have... But why? I am not sure any of my PCs HDs are really up to it TBH? ) but the Atari no matter how fast it is, just simply CANNOT do anythign near that... I seriously doubt thats any kind of valid point at all???

Even if it could, there is no way an Atari could access anywhere near half of the speed of any kind of fast LAN like this, so again, its a duff point.

Even on the Game LAN I have, they dont come anywhere near filling up the bandwidth of the T1 LAN, and they are all 15KSCSI Systems, except one which is running WD120GB/8 which is pretty much the fastest HD on the planet right now!

Hence, wasted money on unnecessary networking, and even more stupid for an atari.

/Off Topic
I have often wondered whats the fastest an Atari ( or clone ) can access a HD... The Milan is certainly very fast compared to the TT/Falcon, and I think that all my Ataris are about the same speed really!

Ok, I am babbling, I will stop here.
