I second Peter - without any drivers, you may connect
them physically, but it won't do anything without a
logical (software) connection.
Having had a look at Rodolphe's CTPCI website i am slightly
surprised reading about the same old rant against Eclipse
again. Yes, Eclipse didn't support busmastering. Eclipse
couldn't because the Falcon's expansion port doesn't
allow to and that's why CTPCI only allows PCI card to
directly access the CT60's SDRAM and not the Falcon bus.
Still, Eclipse was primarily meant as a graphics card
adapter and graphic cards don't require bus mastering.
I also remember a posting by Rodolphe during the middle
of the CT60-vs-Tempest war where Rodolphe himself
claimed PCI outdated for graphics and why Tempest
wasn't supporting AGP.
And now Rodolphe advertises CTPCI for using an ATI
Radeon card in your CT60ed Falcon - Eclipse supported an
ATI RageII in an unmodified Falcon more than 5 years ago!
Still Eclipse is all bad and CTPCI is all good ?
Give me a break. Rodolphe has been designing and
developing excellent hardware, there's no doubt about
that. Why does he still need to bash ex-competitor's
hardware ?
