Do it!! DO IT NOW!!!! LOL!!
'Hey there space-cats, Ulala here reporting from spaceport 9. Tonight I'll be investigating reports that aliens have invaded...and are forcing people...to dance?!'
'All lines are clear Ulala, let's see what you're made of.'
'Let's go. [beat] I've encountered aliens on the main floor...and they've taken hostages!'
'Copy the aliens moves. Press the buttons with the rhythm. Get on it!'
Yeah...I love that game too... in fact, I started making mock-up screens for a 2600 version in Photoshop on my iMac, and it looks pretty good...I'll scan my concept artwork page and post it on the web tomorrow!
It's not a feasible goal, is it? SC5 on the Atari? Someone would need to find a way to decode the MPEGs on the pirate version of the game pretty much in realtime (although 15FPS would be OK, like Ishar CD), and the 3D characters could be sprites...
In fact, I might just start making my own spin-off games for the ST using Ulala and the other characters from the game! I'm thinking, Space Invaders, with humans running accross the top instead of the mothership, and you use A button to shoot aliens and B button for humans, just like in the DC game...
Yeah, forget what I said about Wolf on the XE, somebody needs to write SC5 for the Atari.
