I bought my falcon for £210 - which is $305, from an individual in London. This was just for the Falcon with 4MB, a 520 MB internal HDD and the original software (Callappt, MultiTOS, SpeedoGDOS, Audio Fun Machine, Blah..). That's quite expensive for a plain falcon - BUT - it she was in her original box, with original polys and polyethene inner bag, and she was very clean (hardly used, if ever).
Decked out falcons (I defy anyone to find a German falcon NOT in a tower case) usually go for around £400. Considering that my falcon at new prices would have been almost £1000, which given inflation would be about £3000 now, I don't consider £210 to be too excessive.
If I had $500, I would prolly buy John's (I seem to remember he offered me a Towered falcon with CD-ROM and VGA adaptor that he got from eBay? Remind me...), but I don't have that kind (or any kind) of money right now...
