ehh...wrong chips to use but the cart is ahead of the horse here, back up a bit first and go at it the right way...
Check your power supply to be sure it is putting out exactly 5.0 volts FIRST. When they go, they tend to burn up ram chips just like you've reported (!yikes!!) and you will never be ahead of the game with an over-voltage bum power supply ruining your ram chips faster than you can solder them in.
Desoldering the 130XE board is the ultimate test of skills as one can very easily ruin the motherboard for all time (lifted traces). You can find which chips are bad by placing your thumb on top of the ram chips while the power is on and if you can leave your thumb on it, it is a good chip. The bad ones can melt skin so watch out for that some. Worst thing you can do is wet your thumb and apply it while still wet, you might get a blister on good chips if your thumb is wet.
Typical senario is like this: Power supply goes bad and shoots a spike of voltage onto the power buss thus shorting a few ram chips which then draw so much power from the closely matched power supply that it can not further damage any more chips!! Yeah!! Built in safety valve works and costs very little.
Newbies have done a ram repair on 130XE's before don't get me wrong - but they were exceptional newbies with a capital E. If that is you then full speed ahead and good luck.
