Can anyone suggest where I start trying to solve my Y2k problem?

I have an STe with the Veloce+ board, an IDE driven hard drive and CD rom. I use TOS 2.06 in high-res mode. The clock rolled over correctly on 1/1/2000. All is well until I close any GEM or TOS programme (including those in the Auto folder that are not TSR's). At that point the date jumps to the year 2028.

I have tried turning off all the auto folder programmes, accessories, and even the hard drive. So far I have had no success. Everything still works fine, but it is a pain having to open the control panel to reset the date each time I close a programme.

I do not understand the mechanism whereby the system references the clock in some way on closing a programme. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Regards,
Michael High
