Ok...
First, info on my falcon:
14MB RAM (NO FPU, but a 68882 is coming in the mail soon!)
CD-RW Yamaha (using CDFS w/extendos)
Running MiNT ? when possible ;)
VGA monitor and RGB sc1224 crap monitor
Now.. on to the problems....
It seems everything is riddled with problems! :(
There's only a handful of things I can run and those immiediate things
would be:
Super Fly and Chu Chu Rockets from Reservoir Gods.
Most other programs gives me a TOS #35 error(AHHHH) (which I have no
idea wtf it's talking about) and then I get the bombs..... then I
just get the freezing.
I tried programs in MiNT and then just in straight TOS.
Chu Chu Rockets and Super Fly seem to only work in MiNT so I have to
run that slow@ssmolasses program. I can't get NVDI 5 installed right
and NVDI 3 I have is zipped and does NOT want to
unzip for anything :(
I can't read german, that's a problem!
So, my screen is extremely slow! Most programs either will not run or
bomb/tos error out.
Then, there's some files I copied from my CD to the HD of the falcon,
these files will not go away at all!!! I can't delete them? Illegal
Function or if I drag to the trashcan it doesn't do anything, what
gives?
I'm not new to the Falcons it's just I've never had these problems
with any previous Falcons (except for 1 that was tricked out) and this
is just a standard falcon030.
Should an FPU help much at all? Maybe most programs require it?
I already have NVDI, but I can't get it installed? What can I do?
MagiC 5 or 6? which one should I go with? Can I get them in English?
(I dont want to mess with anything German, no good if I can't read
it!)
Also, will running Magic allow me to run all the atari programs that
SHOULD run normally anyways but doens't?
Maybe there's something I'm doing wrong or need to change that I don't
know about?
Any help is very much appreciated... I'm starting to get fed up with
the machine yet
I want to be able to do so much with it.
