Hi All,
I'm thinking on developing a software for the Atari ST. The main idea is to use a PC as a transparent-file-server for the Atari, so all those people who doesn't have an HDD can find a solution for this problem. I plan to use the parallel port (I know it's different of the PC port) so if anyone has some hardware specs of the Atari, it would be good.
The PC would have a fileserver running under Linux and on the Atari side, the user will use a little file manager (resident on memory) with a copy-to-ram option so any program can load a file from the server. It would be great if I could make a virtual drive under TOS... but I don't have enough knowledge for that....
Ok, all I need is information. On the PC, I'll program under C. On the Atari, I'll use GFABasic (I think is more that enough?). If you know where I can find TOS info, GFA info and Atari Hardware info wich may be useful for this project, please tell me. Thanks for everything,
Facundo
