I need to reluctantly sell my Falcon, as I am moving soon and I dont have enough space for it.
it has been put into a tower case which is not quite finished, but about 90% of the work is complete
This machine used to run Meon Valley BBS some years ago.
consists of
Falcon, 4Mb ram, standard 2.5" 65Mb hard disk, Nemesis, TOS 4.4, 400Mb SCSI hard disk, Toshiba 16x CD drive and zip drive.
approx 1 metre high 6 bay PC tower case, with various bits cut out to hold the Falcon board, standard AT 200 watt power supply, which the case has been modded to hold the psu higher up, as it was in the way of the main board previously. The board sits on a custom made metal panel thats fastens to where the PC board normally goes.
Atari badge of front of case too :o)
some of the quite cool things :o)
3x MIDI ports (with MIDI thru!) on custom made metal panel on back. Fan on back panel,
Pretty much all the ports have been wired up to the back of the case, parallel, serial, DSP, LAN, audio, VGA (with switch for VGA/RGB) etc.
what needs doing to finish it off:-
- custom SCSI cable to go from Falcon's port to some 50 way connectors on the hard disk, CD and zip drive.
- metal panel is needed to hold keyboard (PC 5 pin din) and mouse (standard ST mouse) ports, this will need a bit of skill to cut and drill a piece of metal or plastic to fit on the back.
- finish of respraying of case, front plasic panel is black (could do with another coat to cover small marks on corners) One side panel has been done purple and I ran out of paint to do the rest.
- VGA adapter (neatly tucked away inside machine) possibly has a bad connection, as works fine in RGB mode but doesnt work in RGB mode on my NEC multisync monitor.
- switch for nemesis needs to be attached somewhere
Machine runs fast and stable.
I have some photos of it available on request.
cost is UK£200 + post

I think this is a fair price for huge amount of work thats already gone into it. It looks clean and tidy, no missing screws, bits hanging out, etc.
With a standard ATX power supply and possible a cable extension for the ATX motherboard connector you are all ready for CT60!! :o)
With a bit more work, this will be an Atari system to die for!!!!
Would prefer to ship to UK only as package is going to weigh approx 20 kilos, could consider send to Europe though if my arm is twisted and you dont mind the rather large shipping costs, expected to be at least £40 to most parts of EC.
