I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction here.
Since I moved from Dialup to Broadband, I have now lost the ability to get my Atari onto the internet.
I know that Ethernet is available for the Ataris now, so it seems to me, that, this is the way to go!
I have a load of PCs setup on a LAN, they use standard Ethernet, so in theory, I suppose its just a matter of connecting the TT to a spare location on my switcher.
However, this then leaves the problem, of what happens then?
I have one PC that is connected to the internet, and this PC then goes to my switcher, and all my other PCs are also connected to this switcher, the one pc that is connected to the Net, has Internet sharing ( obviously ), and both my Windows and Linux PCs just use that PCs internet connection... Easy on PCs, but where does the TT come into this?
How does it work?
Another Option could be to use a Router, and just have the TT connected to the router, but a few issues can arrise here... I wont go into them, but it does mean a lot more work than it should due to the current situation of the LAN / Phone Terminal / Main PC / Server.
If anyone has got their TT or Falcon onto Broadband in this way, then please advise me on how I should go about it?
If you need anythign clearing up, then please ask away.
