hey. my name is Piero. I am a bandleader/producer from oakland CA. I searched myspace in a desperate attempt to find help with my quandry.
I am a long time notator (atari st40) user. I have been programming with it so long, it's second nature to me.
recently, I jumped into the whole PC Acid/Abelton desktop recording and programming world. while i really like all the audio functions, I was given reason with my bundle, and unless you know something i do not, Reason absolutly SUCKS.
so I have three questions. think you might help me with some info?
1: can I trigger soft synth modules on my PC using my Atari/Notator setup? better yet, can I sync them both up so I can program beats on the atari and still run audio in acid?
have you ever heard of a version of notator that runs on the PC? (I remember when they first changed it to logic, and is was totally different. I liked the old simple notator windows).
can I load midi files off a dick from my atari into my PC?
I actually saw it done once, but have never attempted it myself.
essentially I love PC and acid, but miss the simplicity of notator. especially the groove quantize, which I have yet to see ANYWHERE else.
I thank you in advance for your time,
Piero Amadeo Infante, man of leisure.
