evening all

i have acquired an old Vortex HD plus 30 external hard drive which is non working sadly

i've heard these old things weren't the best and used a different software to other atari drives - can anyone throw any light on this drive?

it powers up (red light on on front) - i know the PSU is ok - the drive spins (MFM)

but no "C" icon :0(

any help appreciated thanks
