I am trying to get my falcon online using a null modem cable to my PC which is connected to the internet by means of a router. I have made little progress in that I can create a connection but it doesn't really work. I am using an easymint installation on the falcon with 1.16 Mint kernel and a DSL live cd on the pc. I am following the instructions found on Patrice Mandin's site for a ppp connection.
When I initiate the link I get the following error message in the Atari:
"Protocol-reject for unsupported protocol 0xff"
and a "CCP timeout sending config requests" on both machines. Pinging both machines doesn't fail but it doesn't work either, it just hangs. When terminating the connection there are a few bytes exchanged between the two computers but that is all. So any help will be most appreciated, thank you.
