Just picked up a 1040 STf with an SC1224 Monitor the other day. I've never used one before, so i don't really know where to start.
i plugged it all in and turned it on, the lower left led lights up and the monitor displays skinny vertical lines of rainbow color, but thats it. the upper right led never lights, and nothing else happens with the screen, no matter if i leave it on a while, or push a bunch of buttons.
I was advised elsewhere to drop it on the floor from 4 inches, although it didn't sound like that good of an idea to me, i tried it with no change.
I'm about to take it apart and try to remove and reseat the chips myself. Does anyone have any other suggestions? or has anyone run across a similar problem and been able to fix it?
