Im now running in 030 mode and without the CT63 attached and I am getting the same crashes in the same places ( Apart from when it hangs because I dont have NVDI 5 )
Now, the easiest cause of a crash, I dont need anyhting in the Atari at all for this and it does it 100% of the time... I cannot right click on a Web Page from inside CAB without getting a 68000 Exception Error
It does this 100% of the time every time.
Im looking at some docs here and I am comparing my notes again the same errors I had on the CT63
I am finding that nearly every single time I have a crash or an error, its this Exception Error 2... I sometimes have a 3 but mostly a 2 and even so, both 2 and 3 are memory.
Now, I am relatively confident that my RAM is good. I have been able to fully utilise all the RAM in CuBase and I have written some simple code to fill up all the RAM in HiSoft Basic and I dont have any problems there, but of course that can often mean nothing as I can only use the RAM that I can access myself, but still... I have filled it up and I have not had a problem.
So, why is it, that I still get these Error No.2's then?
Again, looking into my notes ( And my notes are awfull might I add, scribbled down about 12 to 15 years ag it seems ) but teh MMU / GLUE chip or Chips are responsible for the ... Erm... Well, Memory management!
Could it be possible that the GLUE/MMU chip could be crappy?
I am thinking ( Dangerous I know ) but can the Glue / MMU chip be replaced, and if so, who, what, when, where, and how much?
How would I know its that unless I do exchange it?
Any thoughts please let me have them.
