hi folks!

yesterday i got a "brand-new" 10 years old atari 1040st, but i haven't got the faintest idea about running it. i have an original version of cubase that i am able to work with, but all other TOS-things i can find in the very thin manual are not displayed on the screen. it would be necessary for me to get further information about the atari and TOS in general. can somebody send me a e-manual? also, i would be interested in information about programming that atari. in which compiler or interpreter language could i do that? although it is only important for me to run cubase i'm interested in the backgrounds of this computer system. i can't get any 720kb diskettes from anywhere, so can i use 1,44kb diskettes instead of them by sticking up the one hole on the diskettes and formatting it on a msdos system at 720kb?

please reply to this posting. thx in advance!

yours
artur
