Hi there,

I tried to use HD disks formatted in DD mode on my old Atari 520 ST. (with external floppy, Atari SF 314)

Unfortunately, the trick with the sticky tape over the HD hole didn't work, although I heard from many sources that it is possible on ST's.

Perhaps the floppy is just too old?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
