I seem to remember they were quite common on the ST's. I found a 520STe the other week, which I grabbed. Unfortunatly the mouse is very eratic and mostly unusable.

Am I right when I think it was a damaged solder joint? Any Ideas?

I really want to get back into ST proper as well as enulators.
