I have a problem with an AlberTT Graphics card on a TT.
I dont know what the hell is up, but here goes:-
The autofolder programs wont run from the auto folder... The second screen comes on, displays some stuff quickly, then goes white, and thats it! - the original screen hangs, but there is 2 bombs appearing just before it does ( maybe something? )
Anyway, if I get to the desktop, I can run the drivers then ( both 800x600 and 1024x768 do the exact same thing by the way )
Now, this is a problem in that whatever resolution I am currently in when I start the driver program, thats the resolution I get on the card too!
The only thing I notice, is that the mouse moves as if the res was correct, and if I show a text file, it does indeed fill up a full 800x600/1024x768 screen, bu tthe GEM Desktop is still only 640x480 ( or whatever res I started the drivers on )
Now, if I have any resolution info in the NEWDESK.INF, the screen goes garbaged ( much like the STE when you offset the screen RAM by one word ) where you can only see the first 8 bits, then white for the next 8 then visible the next 8 and so on, as if there is a cage over the screen - you must have seen what I mean?
Anyway, as it is, this card is utterly useless to me as I cannot even use the bog standard desktop, so can anyone help me out there?
I know that better drivers do exist, but the page I tried was not there??
