Right, I have got a basic setup of MiNT with NAES2 of course, I have been experimenting with it under GEMulator, thinking that its going to be faster, but... Well,its not!
Anyway, I am getting the exact same results on GEMulator, as I am on the TT, so please dont moan about this not being in the EMU forum
GEMBENCH clearly runs a hell of a pace, You can see it fly! - but in the realworld, its still far slower then Magic is on the TT - Is this really how bad MiNT is compared to Magic?
Right, the biggest problem I have, is disk access speed. I have the NEWFATFS set up, I also have VFAT on, on all drives except C: but they will not give me any speed improvement, or LFNs - any ideas?
Papyrus Office is marginally over 1MB, on the TT, its instant under Magic - maybe half a second pehaps, but under MiNT, its about 4 seconds???- this is worse under GEMul8r, maybe 6 or 7 seconds?
Everyone seems to say that MiNT is better than Magic, its faster with NAES2, has faster and better disk accessing, etc etc etc, but, please, someone actually try to prove this to me! Dont say its this or that, tell me what I may need to check to make it run...well, just run!

Yes, this is yet another one of my immature nags, dont give me any crap about it... No, do give me crap about it, I really do want to get MiNT setup, but I just cannot get it to run any better than disgustingly slow.
