I wish to free up space on my pc. I have managed to clear alot of space by getting rid of useless pc junk. To help me in this endevour I found Disk cake to be invaluable. It gives a graphical display of the contents of drives and I could therefore spot which folers had more in them something which niether the Windows desktop nor Gem is very good at.
What I would like now is to clear out even more space on my hard drive so what I need is someone who can guide me through what I can (safely) & cannot delete. Please e-mail me.
I shall also put here what in February 1996 ST Format had to say about Disk cake.
"Disk Cake exists purely to give you a graphical representation of the contents of your disk drive or folder. The results are displayed as pie chart on the screen, and each segment can be labelled if you so desire.
Disk Cake does its job well, but there dosn't seem to be much need for it, unless you want to line your walls with pie charts showing how your disks and folders are structured. It's interesting and well programmed, but in no way an essential addition. It's what the public domain is all about - providing applications for specific purposes not covered elsewhere - but it's hard to see anyone finding Disk Cake impossible to live without.
STF RATING: 66%"
I found Disk cake pretty much impossible to live without & would recommend people dump windows explorer in favour of this program.
