Hello,
I just tried out the 030version of the classic st-racing game vroom by lankhor software, which can be freely downloaded at ftp://ftp.lip6.fr/pub/atari/falcon/games
(don't blame me if the address isn't exactly written *g*). To come to the point: I tried it with my phantom accelerated falcon with 14 MBytes of Ram and it was unplayable fast ;-)
So I switched the phantom of... the same result: it was too fast to play... so I switched my falcon to 8 mh/z and now it was really cool playable and I found
that it is the best racing game I ever played on my falcon, because of the speed and the cool multiplayer function (okay there's reeking rubber, but it still isn't
finished yet and the great moongames...) so my question is: If the falcon seems to have so much power, it should be no problem for a good programmer to add
textures to the game and maybe a jagpad support and we would all have a great, graphically cool falcon and tt racing game without much working on it...
The game seems to be freeware, so I don't think that lankhor would be against an improvement like that... tell me what your oppinion is...
Greetings,
Chris
