Just bought a Falcon. After working for 8 years with my STe without harddisc I'm not used to Ataris booting from harddisc.
I've got a strange problem: the Falcon doesn't recognize the floppy A:drive.
The harddisc is partitioned in C,D,E
I've tried to make the Atari see the floppydrive with the items under Options menu.
It looks good, but doesn't work.
Then I thought the floppydrive was fysically bad connected. But with Format disc-command the Falcon started formatting, so I think the connection is allright. At the end of the formatting proces there was a warning and the formatting didn't succeed.
The Falcon uses HDD 6.x. I've seen demo versions of later versions, but are they fully functional?
Please help me and realize that I don't know much about this. I've never had any problems with the STe and that's what I liked about it.
