Hi there,

I just got myself an old Mega/STE, complete with SM124, keyboard and mouse.

The only software I have is unfortunately the "MEGA STE Language Disk".

The machine apparently seems to boot
The hard disk driver ("HuSHI 6.05") finds a Seagate ST157N with partitions C, D, E and F and tries to boot from C.

After that I see messages from NVDI 2.2, Mouse Accelerator 3.3 and "GEMODS-Schutz 1.02" (I'm in Germany). These seem to be loaded from the hard drive.

Now the bad thing: then I get two bombs, followed by four bombs a few seconds later.
The mouse cursor works (just like Windows, isn't it?), but of course nothing more happens.

As I forgot most of my Atari knowledge since I sold my old 520ST ten years ago, I would appreciate any help to bring that machine back to life.

How can I get a clean boot disk for the system? Can I create one with a PC?
Which tools do I need for recovering the hard disk?

Thanks in advance
Stefan
