I have just got hold of a 72pin adaptor for my Falcon (one from Atari Workshop, I forget the make).
After testing lots of SIMMs (they were all 4mb, EDO or 32Mb....) I found a 16Mb SIMM that worked fine. It counted down the 14Mb and I was away and I have had no crashes, problems, etc, etc.
However I also have a Phantom @ 25/50, in "Turbo" mode the computer runs fine but I get some sparkles on the screen (not many).
I thought this may be because the Videl could not keep up but it did not happen with 4Mb card from Atari, and I have had no other problems.
Do I need to find a some faster RAM? If so, what speed should I look for? Any other reasons?
