Hi There,

I have never used any ATARI computer in my life, but surprisingly enough I am now thinking of buying an used 1040STe simply because there are a few of my old favorite games available on the ST.

I would like to buy a Joystick (actually I would prefer a JoyPAD rather than a JoySTICK) for the ST, but I don't seem to find any (at least on eBay). However, there are PLENTY of Joysticks/Joypads available for the Atari 2600/7800 consoles.

Can someone tell me if the joystick interface for the 2600/7800 the same as the ST (specifically the 1040STe) ? That is, if I buy a 2600/7800 joystick, can I use it with the 1040STe games ?
