I am a proud owner of a classic Atari 400 computer. However, it seems that over the years the picture has gotten worse and worse every time I have hooked it up to a TV. I have tried different cables, cleaning it... I even opened it up and had a look aroud to see If I could put a new wire on or something. No success.

It was a long time ago, but when I opened it up, I seem to remember seeing the wire (to go out to TV as RF) was colled arround a magnet. Why would this be?

Can somone tell me how to hack/upgrade/fix my Atari 400 to improve it's picture? Or point me in the direction of where I can lean about it's insides?

Please understand that I am not a high end techie dude, but am willing to poke arround inside.

-darkman (please email me your responce!)
