Hiya folks!

My daughter is of age to enjoy what I enjoyed for so many years, so I dragged all of my Atari stuff out of the attic (400,800,800XL,130XE, Percom double density drive with slave, 810 drive, 1050 drive, 850 interface, 830 acoustic modem, 2400 baud Zoom modem, Multi I/O, about 300 5 1/4" floppies. etc, etc, etc. Unfortuately, the hard drive I used to run with my system crapped out a long time ago.

So, I went to a local computer store looking for an old SCSI drive and picked up an IBM WDS-3160 for $3 and have been trying to install it with Multi I/0's HDFMTPH9 utility, but so far to no avail. I realize that the HDFMTPH9 utility specifically looks for:

1) Adaptec ACB 4000A/4070
2) Iomega Alpha/Beta Series
3) XEBEC 1410/1410A, WD 1002-SHD
4) Seagate Embedded Drives

I still have my adaptec controller card, but this particular drive has a controller built it. I've tried just about everything and get the error message:

Could Not Format Drive
Error Stats are: A=20 Y=8A

Anybody happen to have an index detailing the error codes issued by HDFMTPH9?

Am I just spinning my wheels with this drive?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
