I recently found an Atari VCS (6-switches), and a Coleco Gemini in garage sales, so I nabbed them and brought them home to try out. I get blank screens for both systems :/ (I nabbed an Atari 2600 JR. at the same sale I got the VCS at, and the games work fine in that one).
Now I currently don't know much about these systems except that they've both been in existance longer than I have drawn breath. I was wondering what, if anything, I could possibly do to get these systems to work? Is there a way of cleaning them, or could it be a cable/R/F switch problem? I know for certain that the VCS has been sitting either in a dusty basement or someone's garage for at least 15 years in it's old open box, so could it just be a dust problem, or is it dead? It was only $2, so it's not so much of a big loss if it is.
