It has occurred to me that, rather than faffing about trying to build a digi -> analogue converter for my old Atari joyport 'sticks and then have to faff around getting windows to see them etc, I could bodge an Atari joystick port onto my cheapo £10 USB controller pad (also digital), soldered up to the appropriate switch contacts for the D-pad etc, and just plug my old Atari sticks into this. I'm using STEEM on a WXP machine. I'd appreciate it if anyone has could share any experience of this sort of fun, or suggest a new and novel alternative.
