This is a message to find the people who like to do emulation on the ST itself! In particular, the ST X-FORMER, the Atari8 emulator (130XE) for the ST.
I got the X-FORMER running on the ST, and I have to say, though limited in graphics, it has been great with basic programs and text programs. This is a plus when you are reading the Old Hacker's bi-monthly disk newsletter ot wanting to play an infocom adventure. I love it.
I never hear much of it though. Are there anyone out there that have gotton this working on their set up? I've had difficulty with the graphics... is that a problem with 400/800 to XE converstion, or just X-FORMER itself?
And what is X-FORMER like on higher end Atari, like the TT, Falcon, Milan, or Hades.. etc. I know that the X-FORMER cable setup does not work with anything higher than an 8mhz setup, but how about the actual program speed? Does it ever get anything close to native Atari8 speed?
Curiously, Doctor Clu
