Hi!
I'm a brand new Atari user, since a friend of mine lent me a 1040 STf with Cubase for playing music.
I was getting really keen on it, so I started to download music stuff, and also got the PowerSt emulator for my iMac .
Now, I've a problem: most of the programs I downloaded (ie. stuff like Robobop, DB Tracker, Sample 4) aren't .ST disk images, but simply consist in various files (.pgr, .dat and so on). Emulators, as you know, all need disk images to work; I tried to create disk images with DuST on my iMac and with MakeDisk on a PC, but these utilities seem able only to make a disk image from an Atari real disk, and vice versa, or to create blank disk images, in which I'm not able to store the files I downloaded.
So I can't run applications with emulator on the iMac, and neither copy files on disks fur using them with my real ST.
Maybe the solution is very simple, but, well, I'm quite a novice, and I'm getting really bogged down...
If someone knows what to do, please let me know!
Respect to all
Riccardo
