I recently upgraded my 520ST memory ( which was 1MB before as it was upgraded by someone else ) to 2,5MB. I replaced 16 DRAM memory modules from the main board with 2 1MB SIMMs. All went fine and computer was working. So I tried doing that with other 16 DRAMs. Now, after turning power on, a random number of bombs appears on the screen, sometimes there are no bombs and floppy starts to load something but shortly after that it stops. All conections have been checked and are ok. As i was aware of capacitance problem, wires to those new 2 not working SIMMs are much shorter than to those working SIMMs. In a few days I will be replacing those SIMMs with some new, but this will require some work as they are soldered :) Anyway, what can be wrong with this?
