I've come across a few 16 meg 30-pin SIMM's. I've read that the STe has a low-power MMU wich only allows 4 megs. I've got an Xtra RAM +8 board that I got hold of very cheap. But can the mainboard in the STe be altered to support more than 4 Megs, since the 68k processor is capable of adressing 16 megs.

Ok, there I said it. Up to 16 megs. Would 16 megs be the limit?
