Ok, I found my HDDriver floppy, and thanks to helpful advice from Jens, Mac-Falcon, and Christos, I was able to format and partition my hard drive. I don't know if I am going to leave it set up this way... I accepted its default of three 910 MB partitions, which works well so far. Getting HDD and BigDos to run was no problem.
I feel that I am definately on the right track, but there are a few things which still puzzle me. On my "C" drive, I made folders for HDDriver, BigDos, and an "auto" folder. What confuses me is that if I have my HDD floppy inserted at start, my hard drive partitions appear with no problems. If I start with no HDD floppy, then the hard drive is not there! Also, C is set up exactly the same way as A, so I do not understand the difference! From C the drivers do not load and the hard disk is not seen.
I have tried everything I can think of from the HDDriver menus. There is a "boot" part of the menu, where I specify C, but I still can only boot with the floppy! Any advice on how I can make sure to boot from the hard drive directly? I avoid floppies whenever possible!
Thanks much!
