I guess that if you waited by the window and bashed an intruder over the head with a ST that would be close to a thunder chip as for as the intruder is concerned as you are emulating a club with a piece of electronic circuitary. If it was done with an old pc it would be an oh fuck chip as it would be a great bump. you could emulate all sorts of club with old computer sytems I mean some one would think twice about entry once they were crushed under a Cray computer. Also old monitors would make great objects to swing about at a soccer match and dong an opponets brain into mash.
