Hi, I'm about to rackmount my STE using one of the kits supplied by Barrie at www.keychange.co.uk (limited numbers left, I understand!) and I'm wante dto get a hard drive interace sorted out. Ideally I'd like an internal IDE interface (something like http://gem.win.co.nz/mb/atarihw/ide.html if possible! Anyone know if its still available? I'm waiting on a mail frm the dude.) I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.
What I'd *really* like to do would be to have and IDE interface that I could wire up to a CompactFlash card (since they're pretty much pin-compatible with IDE) for nice quick silent and low-power operation - You could cram that into any ST case without an issue!
Alternatively, SCSI is aceptable, but I want to try and avoid external solutions, otherwise I have to fiddle about with extra boxes, or do some sort of loopback with the HDD cable.
Ideas?
