I just bought myself a "zip drive" after hearing only good things about them.
turns out I have bought myself a "parallel" zip drive 100.
I tried in vein for over half an hour to understand what this parallel is..., is it serial? is it scsi?
It appears it is the printer port!, jeez
so, I'm assuming my zip drive is usless, with my Atari STE?, usless with my Apple Mac Quadra 840av?
I have got the drive working on my pc, but I bought the drive in order to swap files from STE, to pc (The Apple can get in on the act too if it likes ;))
ok, I accept it, so....
If I buy a zip drive for my Atari STE, I need to;
1. make sure I buy an scsi drive?
2. does it need to be 100MB?
3. will I be able to swap disks between the scsi drive and the parallel drive?
