I have just bought a 520STfm, and want to upgrade it to 1MB. I have already opened the computer and had a look inside, and I see that it has space for 4 extra DRAM chips.

Can I just solder 4 256K DRAM chips on to the motherboard? What sort of chips do they have to be?

Also, how can I upgrade the TOS? Do I have to install some different ROM chips, or are they flash ROM's that are in there?
