Ok, I was wondering if anyone fancies adapting my 4MB TTRAM Board, to a 16MB one?
At this time, it has 4 x 1MB Sips in it.
What my current plan of action is, is simply to take the SIPS off, and replace them, with 4xSIMM slots... I am assuming that standard STE compatible RAM will then get me back to 4MB, but this time, I will have SIMMS instead of the SIPS.
I have come across a few bits of info stating, that the board I have, will go to 16MB easily enough, requiring just a simple switch to say whether its 4MB or 16MB.
However, I am quite honestly a real bone-idle sod. I dont have the 4x4MB RAM, however, I do have a pair of AWE32 Cards off old PCs that do have working 4MB SIMMS, and I am hoping that these will be compatible?
So, does anyone fancy undertakign the task of converting the board to 16MB for me?
If so, then tell me what you would need, and your fee for doing the job.
I am not afraid to pay a fair price for a fair job.
