Just thought I'd write here.....
I tried to use Prodos.
It ran, or at least I assume it did, I put it on floppy so I didn't need to alter my hard drive set up. It booted from floppy, then the Gem desk top comes up. two accessories are installed.
I ran PowerPro is it called?
I found the writing difficult to read in the medium resolution, perhaps I should boot up in high res?
I selected to have some cache which was recommended on some old writing I was reading about Powerdos.
hmmm, maybe sometime I'll try again.
Then I tried "Splitter"
What a marvelous little program, it did exactly what it said it would, it has a lovely little interface and you can change the file size.
I think it worked, I assume it did, I split the file "funkySciFi.zip" a zip of some animation I made. so I got the file accross to my mac and unzipped, but I tried to play the file using "iffplay" but got the message, not enough memory!
well the file unzipped so I'm going to assume that all is fine. Now I have deleted the origional file on my st and have space again to create more :)
