there is a program that you can download under http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/Services/PDA/AtariSTMisc.shtml which claims that it will change the bootsektors of disks in order to make them readable under pc or atari. it should literally switch between pc and atari by changing the boot sector information. unfortunately it doesn't work for me.
so some additional questions: can I also use a floppy disk drive for hd floppies on the pc? I remember something from the book "scheibenkleister" by claus brod, which was very essential for the whole procedure, but unfortunately forgot what exactly it was. after formatting the disk with the option "pc/atari dd" under kobold 2.00 running under TOS 1.04 dos version number 22 I still couldn't read the disks under windows, only dos, so what could be the cause for that? is there a special number of tracks, sectors, that is mandatory for success? on which machine should one format, pc or atari? from MintBoys answer I guess it's atari, but even kobold won't do the job. help would be greatly appreciated!
