SCSI-
Cant write more than a few Megs to SCSI before it hangs.
Stability-
Its just so bloody awful
Never had it running for more than about 10 to 20 or so mouse clicks before I get a screen full of crash info
although surprisingly
CuBase Audio under TOS is absolutely rock solid????
The thing is, that I thought I had this cured... It took me over a week to back up my IDE Partitions to the SCSI Backup Drive andthen I added my old Syquest44 as that had termination resisitors on and it seemed to cure it.
The problem is back and this time I decided to splash out and buy all new cables and terminators... Even bought an active anda passive terminator just for the hell of it, ann new cables from the Falcon to the AT Case, and the internal one from teh external one, to the drives all new, the issue is still there if I only have the one SCSI Drive connected directly on its own - it just wont stop being a turd.
------
Ok, so lets assume then, that externally, everythign is 100% perfect with the SCSI.
It has had the SCSI Mod done... Its an untidy job I will admit that but it looks sound enough... The wires are crappy so I am considering re-doing that just to clean it all up.
Internal Termination??? - Does the Falcon have any form of internal SCSI Termintors and if so... Where?
Is it possible thatthe internal termination is broken / Faulty?
---
One other thing is that on Rodolfs site, he mentions about this resistor that needs to be moved from ( it seems? ) one place, to the very samep place???? - EH?
Also he mentions about 3 or 4 x 33r Resistors?
If so, then WTF am I supposed to doing with them? the instructions are not too good for me to follow at all...
Can anywhere in the UK do a good enough job on that? - hell if they are linked ( Im hoping so ) then thats fine, but who can do it for me?
Might I also add that this morning I put the Falcon all back to stock to test a few things out and the SCSI Copying was fine... I copied my entire G: Partition without any problems.
