Ok, I was wondering about this, for a while and since Im here I might as well ask it...

If there was ever a game that you liked, brought forward, what would it be?

I mean like... It was an ST game that run on 512K and lacked this or that, and you would love to see it re-programmed to use the Falcons capabilities or even the CT...

What would it be?

I think for me, there is only 2 games that I can truly say that I would love to play on a more capable machine with more pazzaz! would either be

Turrican 1 or 2
This was already a seriously high quality game by any stretch. Especially those of you who saw the Commodore versions, both the C64 and the Amiga was out of this world, the C64 surely could not be capable of playing such a massive game, but there it was in surprisingly high quality.

The ST Version was visually very close to the Amigas version but as we all know, the Audio lacked.

Now, how good would that game look today, if it was written purely for the Falcon or even better for the CT & Clones?

WOW!

And also my Second choice is a more realistic and down to earth option

SIM CITY

Now, for those of you who have already played this game on the ST will know that its a GEM game and its actually not a bad game at all.

Now, even though its written for GEM, it does have limits. While it was written for a 320x200x16 screen mode ( ST LOW ) it will work in any 16+ colour mode of at least 320x200 resolution but the window itself will not cover a larger area if you were to expand the window. For an ST this is probably a good thing, but it would be a lovely option on faster machines.

Its also not fully written in legal code either because under a multitasking O/S I have had various levels of success with the game. Geneva seems to love playign the game alongisde such apps as Papyrus for example, while MiNt and Magic can do untold naughtyness to it.

But either way, I think that adapting SimCity would not be all that much of a heavy task. Of course I am an ex programmewr and so I know that me saying this could also be the most stupid thing going too, but still.

Its already GEM and so surely, adapting it to make it more Multitasking friendly should not be outside the limits of some people out there, plus perhaps a boost in the visual department might also be a good thing?

---

Anyway, these are the 2 games that I would sincerely love to see get given a boost into the now rather than staying in the past.

Anyone else have anything to offer?
