hi. ive been running a 520ste since i was 9yrs old. i discovered the facility for expansion recently and have upgraded it now to 1040. i understand i can upgrade it as far as 4 meg but i have a few questions. i have a selection of 30 pin simms cards for it, i know that two of these are 1 meg and therefore useable and the rest are 2 meg. can i put in the two 1 meg cards and run it at two meg without trouble? is it possible to use the 2 meg cards or is this just tempting fate? could i achieve 4 meg using two matched 2 meg cards or are they just too hardcore for the st? could i run it at 8 meg with four 2 meg cards or is this just tempting fate also? i loaded 4x2 meg into one of my backup machines and it seeme to work ok...though smells a little too much like burning silicone for my liking. what is the best/safest way in which to upgrade my beast? please help me :O)
