I`m living in Japan and the last time I went back to the UK I brought my old 1040 STE with me back here to Japan. I don`t have a monitor for it but I thought I`d try it through the tv, but not surprisingly as the tv system here is NTSC, my STE ,designed for a PAL system, just flicks through the same page at a high rate making it impossible to see what`s going on.
I searched through the messages here and someone said that it would be possible to set the speed of a 50Hz machine ( the UK standard ) to run at 60Hz ( the rate here in Japan). Is this true? If so does anyone have a fix for doing this - like an AUTO file called upon on boot-up??

Thanks
Stephen
